Your Marriage Licence
Marriage Licences can be applied for online, you can now
order - pay for - receive your legal paperwork online without having to visit the local court house or Internal Affairs.
It's recommended that you have your paperwork emailed rather than couriered. This way the paperwork can be forwarded to your celebrant.
When do I apply?
A Marriage Licence is valid for three months and will take 3 working days to process.

Your Marriage Certificate
When applying for your marriage licence you can also add on your Marriage Certificate. This document is proof of your marriage and is required to prove your new name change.
You'll receive your Marriage Certificate after your wedding day once the Celebrant has submitted the legal paper work and it has been processed.
